Services

These are a few of the services we offer:

AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring

This course addresses principles of fetal heart monitoring and may be used as a knowledge assessment tool to validate the comprehension of experienced perinatal clinicians. This course includes lectures and hands-on skill stations, including performing Leopold maneuvers, placement of an intrauterine pressure catheter and fetal spiral electrode, interpretation of fetal monitoring tracings using a case-based approach, identification of physiologically based clinical interventions, and communication and risk management principles. This course can be used to support preparation for certification examinations.

AWHONN Advanced Electronic Fetal Monitoring

The Advanced Fetal Monitoring course expands on the knowledge and physiological principles presented in the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course. This course uses a case study approach to focus on the analysis of maternal-fetal physiology related to complex clinical information and fetal heart rate tracings. The course emphasizes the physiology of fetal-maternal oxygenation, the interpretation of tracings, the selection of clinical interventions, and perinatal risk-management principles.

Lactation Counseling

The goal of the lactation counselor is to support the family’s breastfeeding experience

The counselor will first consult with the client to address concerns, next an assessment will be conducted to identify breastfeeding problems. An individualized plan of care is then developed to enhance the family’s experience

Postpartum Support

This service is to help bridge the gap between the care and support received during hospitalization and home. Taking your baby home is an exciting occasion that can be filled with anxiety and uncertainty. We are here to acknowledge those concerns and walk with you through this transitional time.
